IPT Energy Center (IPTEC) is a specialized research center in Lebanon run by a team of energy, environment and transportation specialists, established by IPT on July 20, 2012 under Registration Notice 590.
The Center carries out scientific projects, social and environmental activities and programs, as well as awareness campaigns falling under energy conservation and the efficient use of energy, reduction of environmental pollution resulting from the use of energy sources, and the promotion of the use of clean, alternative and renewable energy solutions.

Objectives
IPTEC carries out research, studies and specialized scientific programs on energy, oil and gas. It also organizes activities and awareness campaigns that fall within the scope of IPT corporate social responsibility in the field of energy conservation and efficient energy use, reduction of environmental pollution resulting from the use of energy sources and promotion of the use of clean, alternative and renewable energy solutions, and others.
Therefore, IPTEC combines, within an institutional and organized framework, the role of a research center and the role of fulfilling CSR objectives.
1- Research & Studies
- Carrying out research activities, scientific and strategic studies in the field of energy, Oil & Gas, economy and environment, energy policies, ...etc including stages of oil and gas exploration in Lebanon and the region.
- Organizing (or co-organizing) conferences, seminars, workshops, training courses and exhibitions on energy issues.
- Reinforcing collaboration with the academic sector by supporting research activities in the field of energy and granting scholarships and awards to motivate students’ creativity and innovation in this field.
- Collaborating and establishing partnerships and agreements with relevant local and international institutions.
2- Corporate Social Responsibility
IPT has selected social responsibility targets closely relevant to its commercial activity as an oilfield services company. These targets focus mainly on energy conservation and efficient use of energy, reduction of environmental pollution resulting from the use of energy sources and on promoting the use of clean, alternative and renewable energy solutions. In order to fulfill its corporate social responsibility targets, IPT will carry out scientific projects, social and environmental activities and programmes as well as awareness campaigns falling under the previously mentioned headlines and themes.
